I want to try a product you sell, but I’m not sure how it will do?

DSTC wants you and your store to succeed. To help you with this, we guarantee all sales. Any products you are unable to sell can be returned within 1 year of purchase for a full credit towards a future order. You should never be afraid to try new products! In return, we ask that you exhaust all available options to sell through these items (eg. merchandising, markdowns and promotions). Please do not write on any display boxes or outer packaging as this makes it difficult for us to resell. If your store is not serviced by one of our sales reps return shipping fees will apply. Credits will be issued when DSTC has received the merchandise in sellable condition. Please do not take advantage of this service so we can continue to offer it.

 

How do I pay?

DSTC offers the following payment methods:

Prepaid by Wire and E-transfer

COD (Cash or Cheque)

 

Who’s paying the shipping?

We offer free shipping on orders over $750 (before taxes). Orders below $750 will be subject to a $15 shipping fee. There are no minimum orders!

*Free shipping is contingent on using a logistics company that DSTC is already affiliated with. If you wish to use a different logistics company an account number must be provided to which the freight can be applied.

 

Who will be delivering my order?

Most orders are shipped using Canpar. Canpar is a full service courier which includes inside delivery. Nothing is required by you. All you do is sign.

Large orders may be shipped with Apex  / Western. Apex is a freight company that does not offer inside delivery. Some labour will be required on your end. COD is not available on LTL deliveries.

If you would rather use another logistics company an account number must be provided to which the freight can be applied.

*Both Canpar and Apex / Western may sometimes use a local 3rd party to complete the delivery.

 

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

It all depends on how busy we are the day we receive the order. We try to get all orders out of the warehouse within 24hrs (Mon – Fri). After the order has shipped estimated delivery times are as follows;

Ontario & Quebec: 1 – 3 Business days

Maritime Provinces: 2 – 3 Business days

Newfoundland & Labrador: 5 – 7 Business days

Western Provinces: 3 – 6 Business days

Territories: 6 – 9 Business days

*Remote areas will require extended delivery times.

 

What if there are shortages or damages on my order?

In the event that an item does not arrive or is damaged, a credit will be applied to your account available to you on a future order. All damages and shortages must be claimed within 24hrs of receiving your order. Please contact the warehouse: 613-925-1818 or by email: office@distantshorestrading.ca to make arrangements. DSTC reserves the right to refuse any claims for damages or shortages.

 

I just received my order and noticed there are some items on backorder. When should I expect these items?

If you have ordered an item that we are currently out of stock of, we will place the item on backorder. You do not pay for items placed on backorder. If we restock the item within a month of when you placed your order we will give you a call to let you know the product is back in stock and ask if there is anything else you want to add to the order, as we will be paying for the shipping. This way, you will never pay extra for any items we did not have in stock the day you ordered them.
